MATH INFORMATION:
It’s that time again – new mathematics textbooks are coming to the Esparto Unified School District. We haven’t been this excited since the Newton-Leibniz controversy over who invented Calculus.
For the textbook adoption process, a collaborative review of the available textbooks and instructional resources was conducted by teachers at the elementary, middle, and high schools.
For the high school, we have selected the Holt, Rinehart, and Winston publishing company’s textbooks for Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus. These textbooks were judged to be the best in terms of thoroughness of content, clearly explained examples for students, innovative supplementary materials, and a number of other factors.
You are invited to review the textbook materials and comment upon the selection. The materials are currently available for public review at the high school.
