George W. & Isabel M. Story donate $200,000 to Esparto High School
Posted 10/30/18

The Esparto Unified School District recently received two extraordinarily generous donations from our amazing alumni, Mr. and Mrs. George and Isabel Story.

George W. & Isabel M. Story donated $100,000 to Esparto High School to be used for purchasing training aids, test equipment, paying for tutors, offering scholarships, and providing guest lecturers from universities. These funds will contribute to the immediate improvement of math and science education in the 2018-2019 school year.

In addition, Mr. and Mrs. Story donated a separate and additional $100,000 to the George W. & Isabel M. Story Charitable Fund. The Charitable Fund was established in 2011 to help develop excellent mathematics and science courses at Esparto High School.  The Charitable Fund now stands at $1,100,000. The Esparto Unified School District thanks Mr. George and Mrs. Isabel Story for their unprecedented donations.

The achievements of the students of Esparto High School who have benefited from these donations are a testament to the generosity shown by Mr. George and Mrs. Isabel Story. Many students who have benefited from the improved math and science programs at Esparto High School are now attending universities such as UC Berkeley, UC Davis, Pomona College, UC Los Angeles, and UC San Diego.
